What is Project Delegate?

"For delegates, by delegates"

History

Project Delegate began in November 2023, when a small group of high school friends, brought together by their love for Model United Nations, decided to host a local, in-school conference. We had all grown as leaders and individuals through MUN: learning how to lead, communicate, and see the world from different perspectives. But talking with many of our classmates, we realized just how many students never got that same chance. Cost, travel, and lack of school support kept so many voices out of the room. And that didn’t sit right with us. Why should some students becoming a strong leader, confident speaker or a future change maker, and others not?

So, we decided to do something about it. What started as a small event has grown into a youth-led initiative with monthly conferences, resources, and custom built training tools, complete with a leadership team of 15+ students, many with no traditional MUN background. But we, and the aspects of the organization, are all driven by the same belief: that all youth deserve the chance to step up, speak out, and be given the chance to make a positive impact. Project Delegate exists, to make leadership and diplomacy accessible to all, for delegates, by delegates.
