What Is Model UN

              Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations. Participants, referred to as delegates, represent various countries from around the world and advocate for their nation's policies. Delegates come together in committee with other delegates to debate, discuss, and practice diplomacy to find a solution to a global problem or conflict. The issues are wide ranging; it is not surprising to hear delegates who have engaged with topics as distinct as solutions to the climate crisis to intercontinental ballistic missiles in space. However, regardless the topic, the purpose of Model UN remains the same: to prepare young people to become empathetic leaders, strong communicators, and global citizens.
