UNHCR Committee: The Global Refugee Crisis

War, persecution, and climate catastrophe have displaced over 120 million people — and the world is running out of answers. In this committee, delegates will become part of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), representing nations from around the globe as they confront the political, economic, and ethical challenges posed by the largest refugee crisis since World War II. From climate refugees to victims of conflict, you will be tasked with crafting a global framework for responsibility, support, and long-term solutions. Delegates will have the opportunity to craft resolutions that offer shelter and hope for those displaced, and to find solutions to the conflicts and crises that continue to fuel the problem.
